Transportation and University parking

TRANSPORTATION FROM THE AIRPORT

There are 3 ways to get from Halifax Airport (YHZ) to Saint Mary’s University:

  • By Bus: The most affordable and “greenest” way to get from Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) to Saint Mary’s University is to take public transportation, which costs about 9 to 12 dollars with an ETA of approximately 1h 21m. Halifax Transit operates its bus #320 from the airport to Scotia Square in downtown Halifax. This bus departs the airport every 30 minutes during peak morning (6 am to 9 am) and afternoon (3 pm to 6 pm) times, and every 60 minutes during the rest of the day. Fares are $4.25 for adults/students and $3.00 for children/seniors. Exact fare is required. From Scotia Square is conveniently connected by buses with other areas of Halifax. To plan your trip, use the Halifax City Route Planner or visit Halifax Transit for detailed information.
  • By Taxi: Traveling by cab or taxi is the fastest way to travel to and from the airport. The general fare for any taxi is about $65. Taxis are readily available in the taxi area of the airport.
  • By Shuttle: A cheaper option than paying the whole taxi fare is to use a shuttle service. Driver’s Dave is a cheap and decent shuttle transportation with their fares starting from $23 (if travelling with a group) to $38 (if travelling alone).
